Guidelines & Criteria for Honorary Awards and Membership Inductions

1. Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa) 🎓

Eligibility & Criteria:

Reserved for individuals with outstanding contributions to society in governance, public service, leadership, business, innovation, philanthropy, or academia.

Must have demonstrated a track record of excellence, social impact, and nation-building.

Nomination by Governing Council, Academic Board, or External Stakeholders.

Induction Benefits:

Conferment of the title “Doctor (Honoris Causa)”.

Academic regalia (robe, hood, cap).

Certificate & Plaque.

Lifetime recognition in the School’s Hall of Honour.

Media coverage during conferment ceremony.

Induction Fee: ₦5,000,000 – ₦10,000,000

2. Honorary Professorship / Professorial Fellowship 👨🏽‍🏫

Eligibility & Criteria:

Conferred on distinguished professionals, innovators, scholars, and leaders in Public Administration, HR, Management, Governance, or related fields.

Must have minimum 15 years of distinguished career experience.

Must be nominated and approved by the Academic Council.

Induction Benefits:

Right to use the title “Professor (Honoris Causa)” or “Professorial Fellow”.

Academic gown & plaque.

Citation & media announcement.

Recognition as a thought leader and advisor to the School.

Induction Fee: ₦4,000,000 – ₦8,000,000

3. Fellowship (FPAHR – Fellow of Public Administration & HR) 🏅

Eligibility & Criteria:

For seasoned practitioners, senior executives, public servants, consultants, or academics with not less than 10–15 years’ experience.

Must have made significant contributions to HR practice, governance, administration, or nation-building.

Endorsed by at least two Fellows of the School.

Induction Benefits:

Use of post-nominal FPAHR.

Certificate, plaque, and fellowship regalia.

Recognition as a resource person for training & advisory roles.

Priority access to events, conferences, and publications.

Induction Fee: ₦1,500,000 – ₦3,000,000
Annual Subscription: ₦100,000 – ₦200,000

4. Senior Membership (SPAHR – Senior Member)

Eligibility & Criteria:

Professionals with 7–10 years’ experience in public administration, HR, or management.

Evidence of leadership or supervisory responsibilities.

Approved by Membership Committee.

Induction Benefits:

Post-nominal SPAHR.

Certificate & badge.

Access to networking and training opportunities.

Induction Fee: ₦500,000 – ₦1,000,000
Annual Subscription: ₦50,000 – ₦100,000

5. Full Membership (MPAHR – Member)

Eligibility & Criteria:

Degree or Diploma in Public Administration, HR, Business Admin, Political Science, or related fields.

Minimum 3–5 years’ work experience.

Successful completion of screening/interview.

Induction Benefits:

Post-nominal MPAHR.

Certificate of membership.

Access to training and certification programs.

Induction Fee: ₦250,000 – ₦500,000
Annual Subscription: ₦30,000 – ₦50,000

6. Associate Membership (APAHR – Associate Member)

Eligibility & Criteria:

Recent graduates, young professionals, and postgraduate students.

Open to individuals interested in building a career in HR or Public Administration.

Induction Benefits:

Post-nominal APAHR.

Membership certificate.

Access to mentorship and internship opportunities.

Induction Fee: ₦150,000 – ₦300,000
Annual Subscription: ₦20,000 – ₦30,000

7. Student Membership 🎓

Eligibility & Criteria:

Undergraduate students in Public Administration, HRM, Political Science, or related disciplines.

Must be recommended by their department or student affairs unit.

Induction Benefits:

Membership certificate.

Access to student conferences, workshops, and career fairs.

Induction Fee: ₦50,000 – ₦100,000
Annual Subscription: ₦10,000 – ₦15,000

Governance of Awards & Memberships

All nominations are reviewed by the Membership & Awards Committee.

Approvals are confirmed by the Governing Council.

Conferment ceremonies take place during Annual Convocation & Induction Events.

Titles are non-transferable and subject to revocation in cases of misconduct.
